PhD Candidate

Sepideh Falahatian obtained her B.Sc . in mechanical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in 2018 and her M.Sc .from Tarbiat Modares University in 2020. Her expertise includes numerical biomechanics, multi-phase flows, turbomachinery, Turbulance modeling. Her master thesis was about developing the Moving Immersed Boundary Method to investigate the effects of kidney stone movement on human ureter function. She has started P.h.D at Sharif University of Technology in November 2020. Her PhD thesis is about array-based oligonucleotide synthesis.

Mohammad Matin received his B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering from University of Tehran in 2016 and his M.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology in 2018. His master thesis was about experimental investigation of PCM usage effect on heat transfer in pool boiling processes. He has started P.h.D at Sharif University of Technology in September 2019. He is interested in Microfluidics, Water Desalination, Renewable Energy, Heat Transfer and Energy Management.

Alireza obtained his BSc in mechanical engineering from Sharif University of Technology. His bachelor dissertation was about spinal analysis and low-back care during job activities. He is interested in manufacturing process and microfabrication; He started his MSc in the field of manufacturing and joined MNSL at November 2020 for the project of nanopore fabrication. He has started PhD at Sharif University of Technology in September 2022.

Esmaeil Molavi is currently a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. He obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering from Isfahan university of technology and his M.Sc. from Iran University of Science and Technology. Mohammad received his bachelor’s degree from Iran University of Science and Technology in 2020. His bachelor project was about proposing an artificial swimmer in low Reynolds numbers. He joined MNSL as MSc student in 2020. His research interests are life at low Reynolds numbers and microfluidics. The subject of his studies at MNSL is about tunable resistive pulse sensing.

Arman received his bachelor’s as the top student (ranked 1st) of the Thermo-Fluids Group in Mechanical engineering at the Sharif University of Technology. He is acquainted with digital microfluidics, microfabrication, microscopy, lab-on-a-chip technology, and CFD as he has been engaged in projects including worm on a chip, PCR on a chip, cost-effective EWOD, microwire etching, and COMSOL microdroplet simulation. Moreover, he participated in the EEE program at EPFL and worked in the LMIS2 lab and CMi on a project named “In vivo on-chip imaging of the microbiota in the C.elegans gut.”abrication of a nanofluidic system for measuring the size and counting the number of nanoscale particles.
